Mr. Tan Passakornnatee, President & CEO of Ichitan Group Public Company Limited contributed 1,000,000 Baht to support the construction of a field hospital in Myanmar for the benefits of treatment, prevention and control of the Covid-19 virus pandemic in Myanmar under the “Friendship Project to Fight Covid-19 in Myanmar” implemented by Mr. Kich Aungvitulsatit, chairman of the Thai–Myanmar Business Council (TM-BC) under The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) consisting of The Federation of Thai Industries, Board of Trade of Thailand, and The Thai Bankers Association. In this occasion it was an honor to have H.E. Lwin Myo Zaw, Counsellor (Economic Attaché) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, representing the country to receive the fund.

Myanmar has been experiencing an ongoing Covid-19 pandemic throughout the year 2020 and the infection continues to rise due to the second wave of contagion resulting in almost 116,000 people infected and more than 2,400 deaths due to the lack of necessary medical equipment and supplies, thus preventing doctors, nurses, and medical personnel to effectively provide treatments to the patients.

With a long lasting deep connection with the people in Myanmar and recognition of public health problems which are important for the treatments and the stop of Covid-19 outbreak, Ichitan Group joins hands in donating funds to build a field hospital in Myanmar which will provide sufficient medical facilities to accommodate patients and facilitate the treatments by doctors and nurses.
